Add a piece of iconic British design to your home with this Geoffrey Baxter Whitefriars Pewter Glass Coffin Vase, pattern number 9866. Baxter created this distinctive design during Whitefriars’ celebrated period of textured glass production in the 1960s and 1970s.

The vase features the sought-after Pewter colourway, with smoky grey tones and Whitefriars’ famous textured finish. The heavily textured surface creates a beautiful contrast with the smooth interior. As a result, the glass catches and reflects light in a fascinating way.

Condition

This vase remains in good vintage condition and displays very well.

As expected with a vintage piece of this age, there are some minor nibbles to the top rim. The largest nibble measures approximately 2mm along the flat top edge. There is also a small chip of approximately 3mm on the inside rim.

We have photographed these areas clearly so you can see the condition before purchasing. The imperfections do not detract from the vase’s striking appearance when displayed.
